    WiFi connection stuck in connecting

After my laptop has been on for a long time I often come back to it and find the wifi stuck in "connecting" state to my AP. This may or may not coincide with a router restart, often not I think.

Once it is in this state, I cannot refresh the wifi ap list I cannot disconnect from the ap it's connecting to, if I delete the connection/profile I cannot find the ap again as I cannot refresh. The only solution seems to be a reboot. This is inconvenient as I often use the machine remotely and so may not be there to reboot it.

This has only recently started happening and is after at jest several hours. I cannot link it to any event or and recent changes in my mind.

Does anyone know of a cause, or a fix? The laptop is used as a number of different servers at the moment, so alternatively is there any android software I could get on my phone that will tell me quickly that my machine is down. I have http and SQL server setup on the router to pass through to the laptop, but I could set another of course for such software.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello hardya.

To me this sounds like a driver issue, what is the make and model of your laptop?

    Cheers, Boris :)
