    Problem with new TP-Link Wireless Adapter


    Hi all

    I want to create an Ad-Hoc connection to be able to connect to internet throw my mobile phones so i bought a new Wireless Network Adapter TP-Link TL-WN551G ...

    connected it to PCI slot .. and turned on my computer .. Windows recognized it and installed it .. i opened device manager and Updated Driver Software .. till now every thing is great and ok ... but when tried to install the Ad-Hoc Connection i got that message that they there is an error at my adapter ... i don't know how to solve this problem ... at
    TP-Link TL-WN551G page at their website they said that it's full compatible with Windows 7 and they even said that the Windows will install it's drivers automatically and that really happened

    Please help me ..

    problem solved .. i tried to change the MAC Address of the card and i was able to create the ad-hoc connection ...

    now i can connect to the new network by mobile phone but when try to start browsing i get message " No Gateway Reply" so i think that there is something missing at the connection .. can any one guide me to finish that problem..

    i think that it's an ip problem because the connection count only at sent and received is "0"

    your device is going to require an ip addressing scheme that is on the same subnet as your defaut gateway inorder to browse.

    Problem solved by create bridge connection first and then i created the Ad-hoc connection ... every thing is OK now ...

    Thanks for posting back....always good to know what works and what doesn't. I probably wouldn't have thought of that solution so thanks again.
