Okay. Can you try to do a clean boot of your system and see if that does anything? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/331796.

I tried a clean boot. I was already performing a selective boot each time I booted, but I hid all Microsoft services, as well, this time. It didn't change the issue.

I'm trying to locate my Windows 7 Ultimate disc. Since I just moved, I know that it's in one of these boxes. lol I am wondering, however, since I upgraded to Windows 10, and that didn't fix the problem, would a refresh of Windows 7 do the trick?

It could fix your issue if the issue is with Windows and not something else. Personally, I always see reinstalling Windows as a last resort kind of option.

What kind of Antivirus do you use? Have you installed anything new to the PC recently?

Hi JMG,
looking back at your Ipconfig all, your node type is showing as unknown,
have a read of this MS fix.

I only have Microsoft Security Essentials running. Windows Firewall is also running, but I shut that down for a bit, and I still wasn't able to get a connection. In the time that I moved from my old place to my new place, nothing changed. I simply brought everything to the new place, plugged it in, and it didn't work.

Prior to moving, I had installed a bunch of Windows updates, but it didn't affect the connection. I thought that one of them might be the culprit, but I didn't have a restore point prior to to the installation, so I began uninstalling them one at a time. Apparently, if it is one of the updates causing the problem, I haven't found it, yet.

Torchwood, interestingly, I have no EnableProxy key in that location. I've attached a screenshot of the relevant portion of the registry.

I followed these instructions for creating the key (and set the value to 1), but it didn't resolve the issue: Registry key missing? | PC Review

Hi JMG,
you have an extra entry in yours compared to mine
DhcpNodeType.

Googled it found some info, that it overrides certain settings although you can remove it.

Should I just delete the key for DhcpNodeType?
