Tick the box to delete the driver software and re-boot.

I already did that, had no affect.

Are you saying you have ip6 connectivity ?

Post a snip.
That doesn't mean that the computer isn't trying to use it. The thread that I posted said that the button might be disabled simply because ipv6 is enabled. Try disabling it.

Verizon does not have ipv6 in our area yet, so that`s why none of my PC`s can connect to the net with ipv6, but that doesn`t matter, there`s no speed gain anyway.

But anyway, nothing I tried allowed me to work with the ip address on this pc so I`m reimaging it.

Post results when done.

Thanks everyone for your input.

Hi,
Okay I missed the Verizon bit
I did notice the poor internet speed at 100.0 mbps though when most of us show 1.0 gbps

100 Mbps is limited by my switches and most of these pc`s in the house are old, only my Sabertooth can do 1 Gbps, but it`s connected to a switch that can`t do 1 Gbps, so It`s not worth the effort. After a reimage on that particular PC I can do whatever I want to the ip address so all is well

100 Mbps is more then enough. You`d have to get 1000 Mbps in order to have a 1 Gbps network, does anyone out there have that ?????????????????????

This is what I get from Verizon, so having a 100 Mbps network is fine.

I just changed all the ports on my Verizon Fios Quantum Gateway to 1000 Mbps, they were all at 100 Mbps by default.

Now I either have to run a Cat5e cable directly to the computer from the router, or buy a new Linksys 1000 Gigabit switch to have a 1000 Gbps network.

My current switch up here only has 100 Mbps ports, it`s quite a few years old, but it was free

Again, it would be a waste of time and done out of sheer boredom, as a 100 Mbps network is fine

But like I always say, if you got it, use it

Static IP Address won't stay set
This has probably come up before, but I didn't notice any threads that seemed related. I've been looking into some minor glitches in my W7 install (calculator & chkdsk). I noticed that my static IP address vanished! W7 has always had "flaky" network behaviour, so I wasn't concerned (just...
