    Just install windows update

I had the same problem, I did all of these: switching on/off the router, rebooting my PC, trying a different WiFi dongle, updating the latest version of Network adaptor non of them worked... the last solution which worked for me was to check the windows update and basically update my windows and then reboot my computer. That was like a miracle and I wish I knew it before all other attempts....

If you don't have internet on your computer which you might have as you cant get the WiFi to work try to connect your PC to your router through a direct network cable (its a yellow cable which normally comes with your router) this gives you the option of having internet and once you updated you windows you will be able to connect to your WiFi and then unplug your network cable.
