Suddenly unable to access files in folders on Drobo 5N under Win7

Win 7, 64 bit, all the latest and greatest updates.

I have a curious problem. For years I have had a NAS running just fine: Drobo 5N. Last night, in fact, I accessed data without a problem. This AM I tried to access files on my Drobo 5N on a machine running Win 7 this AM and while I am able to find the Drobo, and I can display folders, the files in those folders are either listed as "This folder is empty" or there is a gray "X" adjacent to the folder with a message that says "Open Folder: XXX\TT\Folder 1\Folder 2\ file x is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have access permissions."

Well, this is a home computer and I am the administrator. I have been using the the Drobo for a few years without this problem.

Now, the kicker is this: I can access all the files on this same NAS that I want on another computer running Win 10!

I think this must be an issue with Win 7 that has suddenly developed. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem?

Thanks
Ken K

Here is the error message: (note the little gray "x"s that are displayed. I have never seen those before.
