    Wireless Internet

Well, tomorrow is the big day. I install Windows 7. I am just curious if any of you had a problem with your wireless connection not working after you installed Win 7? 1) Did it work immediately? 2) Did you have to install drivers? 3) Did you just have to junk the obsolete router and adapter and buy a new one? I have this feeling that it will be Door Number 3.

    Hi and welcome BM

    1-no
    2-yes
    3-no drivers only

I am running the 32bit version and for some reason win 7 didnt have my wifi card in its files. I had previously gone and downloaded all the dreivers I would need so it wasnt a problem. My router is 4 years old so it may not be door number 3

Hope this helps and let us know if we can be of use

    Hi bigmck!

    1- Yup, straight away.

2- Nope, Windows Update didn't even have to install a driver.

    3- Nope.

3 - no, my router is like 6 years old and has never been a problem

Thanks for your replies. My router is about 4 years old so the fact that all of yours are that age, gives me hope there will not be much of a problem. If you don't hear from me again, you will know I never got the thing working.
