Windows 7: Ip Address Location Wrong

All my computers that are connected to my router have the same IP adress. I checked. Also I got a windows error saying that my IP address is the same as another computer on the network.

I live in Oregon, but when I google "My IP address location" many different sites pinned me at Missouri.

Alot of isp's have a range of ips the issue they dont always match the area that they are listed to that's the registered location. Isp's use dhcp servers like home routers do, just on large scale. The error you are getting is because two computers on your network have the same ip set. And easy way to fix that is insure dhcp is enabled on all of your machines and then run ipconfig /release and the ipconfig /renew from the cmd line. to get to that type cmd in the run menu.
I hope that helps some

The ip address isn't going to point to your house. its going to point to a random location that the ip address that you isp has designated. This is for your security.
If some random person got your ip address, like nay time you go to a website that logs ip's do you want them to be able to come to your house?

Problem, there isnt one.
The op doesn't understand that his ip address does not have to point to his direct area.
There ip address is issued from a nationwide DHCP server for there ISP.
Because of that the ip address you are given can be registered to another location.
The only time an ip will show your exact location is if you purchase a dynamic ip address.
