    Wireless G connection question.

I have two Wireless G PCI network card...One made by Zyxel and the other Tp-Link....connecting to a Linksys router, the driver/software from both Zyxel and TP-link won't install but Windows 7 id them as Realtek Wireless G adaptor during installation and has driver for them...it works.

My question is after turning on Computers, Windows will take like 2-5 minutes before it connect to my Router...is there a way to speed this up?

When I had XP with either Zyxel or TP-Link software, they connect to my router right after boot up....too bad the software don't support Windows 7.

Yes, there is a way. Assign a static ip address to the network adapter.
