    Network Printing by server 2003

    Hello All,

I am trying to install printers on window 7 by use of a network. All printer are share by server 2003. I am install an hp 8150 and an xerox workcentra 4150. Both units have a static ip address which in the current xp enviroment these printer print fine.

For the hp 8150 i went to hp website and downloading the newest window 7 driver. When window does it search it can't find the correct drivers and ask me to manually input driver. I use these driver and window tell me window could not local suitable printer driver.

I install these same driver local creating the port and inputing ip. this methord works fine.

I have the same problem using an xerox workcentra 4150.

Any one have any advice on this issue.

    thanks

    Bump

Same issue here. We're getting ready to deploy some windows 7 clients on a 2003 domain. So far, network printing has been a pain.

Anyone have any better answers than the work arounds?
