    Homegroup problem


    I created a homegroup in PC.
    I can access homegroup in laptop and access files in PC

    But i cannot access files from PC to laptop through homegroups, nor i can see my laptop listed in network devices.

    In PC i am running W7 Ultimate
    In Laptop W7 Home Premium
      My Computer

    if you are running an AV software, it usually installs a firewall that blocks more than it should. Uninstall it from both machines, and see if this is fixed. I had to remove McAfee on mine to make it work. I went with the free Microsoft Security Essentials program instead.

i tried to connect to a homegroup, with a win 7 HP to a win 7 pro, but it says it can't connect as it needs ipv6 :huh: whats the point in it at all then, as i believe most folk have ipv4
