cant see xp machine under win7

    Hello,

I'm having some trouble networking windows 7 and xp sp3 machines together. The xp machine can see the win7 machine and access its files but the windows 7 machine cannot see the xp machine. They are in the same workgroup. I've tried searching for the xp machine by ip and computer name, no luck. Both only have the standard windows firewall on them. Any suggestions? thank you in advance

    I opened some ports: 135-139 and 445

now i can do printer sharing. on the xp machine the win7 shows up but i cannot access it. it gives me this message: "<computer name> is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. contact the Contact the addministrator of this server to find out if you have permissions.

the network path was not found"

the win7 machine i can only see the xp machine by making a network map or searching "\\office". From there i can access the files.
