You can also run a trace route to diagnose where issues exist. From a command prompt:
tracert google.com
Or for any other website.
Try using an Open DNS server for DNS if you still have an issue. Set your router for it.

I did all of this, unchecked all boxes, but the diagnose still says dns server unreachable.
However, the internet works just fine, but its sometimes pretty slow.
Actually I wanted you to type that into the browser to see if you could open a page.I pinged that IP address too, but it showed that the host is unreachable
I typed that adress into Google Chrome, and it went straight to google D: is that what its supposed to do??
Sorry I'm no Networking guru, but DNS is not working.
Hopefully someone will be able to pinpoint the problem.
He has mdnsresponder.exe in the task manager. I bet 100000:1.
Don't check services. Check the task manager instead, in processes.
Then we can tell you how to uninstall Bonjour if you say you have it.
torrentg,
What is this mdnsresponder.exe file?
That's the Bonjour service in action, that messes everyone's dns up.
It's commonly installed with Apple stuff like iTunes, Adobe apps and the like.
It's Apple's secret plot to destroy Windows lol.
