You can also run a trace route to diagnose where issues exist. From a command prompt:

    tracert google.com

    Or for any other website.

Try using an Open DNS server for DNS if you still have an issue. Set your router for it.

I did all of this, unchecked all boxes, but the diagnose still says dns server unreachable.
However, the internet works just fine, but its sometimes pretty slow.

I pinged that IP address too, but it showed that the host is unreachable
Actually I wanted you to type that into the browser to see if you could open a page.

Sorry I'm no Networking guru, but DNS is not working.

Hopefully someone will be able to pinpoint the problem.

He has mdnsresponder.exe in the task manager. I bet 100000:1.

Don't check services. Check the task manager instead, in processes.

Then we can tell you how to uninstall Bonjour if you say you have it.

That's the Bonjour service in action, that messes everyone's dns up.

It's commonly installed with Apple stuff like iTunes, Adobe apps and the like.

It's Apple's secret plot to destroy Windows lol.

    hi every body,

I am using thoshiba lap with windows 7. I am facing problem with wirless net work. I am using public unsecured net works. Around 3-4 unsecured networks will show full range in my system with yellow mark always, like limited or no connectivity. But still i can access one of these network, some times i can't in this same condition and its showing "unable to connect". Then i will restart or restore my system. it will be work fine for me some times, not always. Please give me the proper permanent solution for this issue. I am really fedup with this.

Don't try to piggyback free isp service from neighbors that your machine is having trouble communicating with because of distance?
