    HomeGroups: Settings to let PC 1 edit files on PC 2?


    I was finally able to get HomeGroups working on my PC and the HTPC.

    My brother downloads videos (Top Gear) through my PC and would like to be able to transfer them to his afterwards.

    It seems I'm able to copy the files from my PC to the HTPC, but not cut them. It mentions that he (HTPC) needs administrative permission.

    What settings do I need to enable him to cut the files?

I am having a problem with saving edited files back to a homegroup server from office 2007. Other applications can open files, edit them, and save them in place in the same shared folder, and I can edit the document in word, save it to the desktop, and over-write the original on the network share...
