    [URGENT] Windows 7 Limited Connection

Okay I have recently upgraded to windows 7 from vista I have a Belkin G plus MIMO (F5D9050) and I got it to work with windows 7 HOWEVER! It only lasts half an hour or so before it gives me limited connection then I can't disconnect it doesn#t connect to anyother WIFI and I have to actually pull the plug to switch of my PC because if I shutdown or restart normally it gets stuck at "Windows is now shutting down"

    I have Windows 7 64BIT Home Priemum

    Hi and welcome

Seems like you have more than one problem. Lets start by looking in event viewer. go start>search>eventvwr>windows log>application tab
look for errors that have anything to do with shutdown, or wifi. when you find them can you copy the "event ID" and "source" of the errors and tell us what they are

    then start>search>device manager>wifi>right click>properties.
is you device there? does it have a yellow triangle on it?
Are there any other "unknown" devices?

    Let us know

There doesn't seem to be any errors with wifi or belkin but there seems to be some errors with WMI and IDriver.exe, for shutdown doesn't seem to be any errors but Information and there isn't any yellow triangles or unknown devices.

Update your system specs. The link is in my signature. "WINDOWS 7 IS ****" doesn't help.

We could probably use a sticky at the top of this forum, similar to the one the Zidane24 did over at the General Discussion Forum or maybe just a sticky that will link to that one. No sense reinventing the wheel. I'm just sure new users are not quite sure how to do it or sometimes even what you or others mean when you recommend that they update their system specs. I have seen people when asked immediately start posting their specs in the contents of their next post and I even seen some that where confused by your referencing the link in your signature. New people here are probably not even sure what a signature is or where it goes yet. Maybe if we could point them to a sticky at the top of this forum it might help.??

Just an obvious question : are your network drivers installed? Both wired and wifi? Because your connection issue smells like a driver issue.

Yes it seems to be a driver issue, there is no updated driver for windows 7, does anyone have any fix to use vista drivers on Windows 7 and yes ive tried the combiblity mode it doesn't do anything, and the reason I was getting Limited connection I've been using some otherXP64bit driver so it would only work for an hour or so then it ruin my pc =z
