how to share files with linux, xp and windows7

Can people post links to how to share files with linux (samba) and with xp and other windows7 machines? Been on windows 7 for a full 72 hours, like it so far, there are a few things not familiar with yet.

    Hi simonc

well xp>>win 7>>xp shouldn't be a problem. You need to share folders and have the same user id and passwrds. It is a little easier to share win and XP if you are using workgroup instead of "homegroup" . Samba shouldnt be a problem either because it is just accesing the files it doesn't know from win 7 permissions.

How about you give us some more specifics as to what you want to share and with whom.

    Thanks'
