Windows 7: windows 7 networking issue

I recently just bought my wife a new HP laptop which came pre-loaded with windows 7 home premium. Everything was okay with the initial setup except when it came to my wireless network. I currently have a linksys by cisco wireless G router that i have not had any problem with (ps3, 360, both macs all connected fine)

The laptop will find the network no problem and connect to it, but I get that icon over the signal saying I have no internet access. I've been doing some research here online and disabled the Bonjour services, turned off IPV6, which only got me soo far. I can connect now, but the connection is slow as ever!!! and to make it worse, when i connect with the cable, i loose connection altogether.

Has there been any confirmation of a fix?

I recently upgraded my work PC to windows 7 enterprise and am having the same issues. Everything worked fine with XP pro.. help!!!
