Help me set up my wireless internet
Hey guys,
I have a Billion BiPAC 7300GRA Wireless Modem/Router which I have been using around my house with various laptops and devices.
Today I bought a Toshiba Satellite M500 with the following specs:
2.2ghz
4gb ram
500gb hdd
512mb dedicated graphics
I have being trying to set it up with my BiPAC 7300GRA, however the computer has not been able to detect my wireless network, apart from when I sat the computer right near the wireless modem.
All other devices work fine from any area within the house, bar my new M500 Laptop. The built-in wireless adapter is an Intel WiFi Link 5100 AGN.
- I have tried setting the card simply to 802.11b/g instead of 802.11a/b/g/n, however neither has allowed me to find my network any easier.
- As well as this, I have tried disabling 802.11n however this had no effect on my laptop's ability to find and connect to my wireless network.
I'm running windows 7, and since set-up earlier today I have installed Microsoft Office 2007 Student Home edition; however connection to my wireless network was no better before this installation.
I allowed Norton AntiVirus to install itself until I can connect to the Internet and get a better AV, and am not sure if this has an effect on my ability to connect.
So, could someone please help me connect to my wireless network: I need to be connected as soon as possible.

Lots of thanks in advance.
