    Acid3 test

I have seen that Safari 4 beta passes the acid3 test with 100/100

    The Acid3 Test

Does anyone know how relevant this test is to the performance of a browser? and should we be looking at this with a grain of salt?

The jury is still out on that one... IE passes over 9000 tests but gets ranked the lowest for stupid things... It fails Acid3 test 15 for preventing textfiles from running scripts

Rendering depends on the developers choice of programming and how they choose to implement the tests

You can find a few thousand IE tests here:
    Windows Internet Explorer Testing Center

Heres a video from Januray from the IE team talking about tests and various other browser related features

The grain of salt I was looking for. We should judge browsers by using them.
