tnx msimango. mine is an RTL8187L or RTL8187. i tried your fix and its almost 1hour already since i did your fix hopefully it works well and doesn't disconnect the other laptop anymore. i got disconnection problems even after updating the
driver and application from the realtek site.
what i did with my 8187.ini is i retain a few lines and change everything(can be seen below this). hopefully i don't get disconnection problems anymore and i don't experience the removed settings of ap mode when i restart my computer. i experience that during the old version of the realtek
driver and application.

anyway could you pls explain what was the problem with the old ini file. if this has fixed the problem why doesn't realtek release the corrected .ini file. anyway big thanks to you
