    802.11 N standard

    Hi,

I am using Toshiba laptop with Atheros ar9281 wireless adapter.
This adapter is compatible with 802.11 N standard, so I bought the Edimax BR-6424 router, it's support the N standard too.

The laptop is connected to the router, but the speed is 54Mbps. I know N standard should work at 300Mbps.

I talked with Edimax support and they told me that Windows 7 drivers are not working properly with N standard.

Do you know if I can do something to solve this problem?

    Thanks.

    Guy.

    Hello Gmanor,

    Welcome to 7 Forums.

Did Edimax support say they were working on it? Drivers are they're responsibility. Have you tried a Vista driver? May have to install in compat. mode. Info here if needed. Compatibility Mode

    Hope this helps.
