Win7 and XP Printer Sharing

I am running Win7x64 and a HP7350 Photosmart printer. To get the printer to work the Win7 driver is used for a Deskjet5550. Works fine. I would like to use the printer on my Linksys network as it did when my desktop was an XP. The driver is only available through the Win7 OS, not as a download for Win7. the download for XP doesn't work. The driver is incompatable. Is there a way around this?

Hi and welcome

why would you use a driver for a different printer? is there a vista driver for the correct printer? you can use that and just need to install it in compatibility mode

to do that>>> right click the installer>properties>compatibility>check vista

No that would be too simple. I have the correct driver for the printer on CD, but that won't work as the fix for the problem. The Win7 and Vista solution by HP is to use the included driver for the Deskjet 5550 as the driver for the Photosmart 7350.
