actually..I am typing this on my desktop so I can't get my laptops pick up on here very easy.. so I will just type what you are looking for on the screen you showed me above:

Laptop PC:

Computer Descrioption: LaptopPC
Fulll Computer name: Hayden08
Workgroup: WORKGROUP

Desktop PC
Computer Description: DesktopPC
Full Computer name: Hayden08
Workgroup: Workgroup

Change Full Computer name on one of them. you can't have them both named the same.

OK..just changed the full computer name on my laptop PC and it is making me restart...I must thank you very much for your continued help here...

What is the name of your router. Brand name like linksys or dlink?

2wire..

ok..now my laptop can see my desktop...it shows two computers...but when I click on the desktop computer from my laptop..it asks for the username and password..

I am just trying to understand which one they are asking for? please let me know

I would believe that it wants to know the desktop username and password so that it knows that you are knowing that and not just anyone trying to get on your desktop.

K..but I am trying to understand what is my username and password from my desktop..is it the same username and password that shows up when windows first boots up and I type in my password?
