Download & video playback stops in the middle In windows 7, when I download any file it stops at the middle and doesn't proceed. Likewise, when I play online videos (like youtube), streaming simply stops after playing few minutes and doesn't play the remaining part(it simply keeps on buffering and takes forever to complete). I have tried downloading file using download manager like download accelerator and several browsers like firefox, gooble chrome but it still have the same problem and download doesn't proceed even if i use pause/resume feature. By the way, I use 10 Mbps bandwidth cable internet/wireless router and McAfee Anti-virus which I update daily. In other to get rid of this problem, I even formatted my laptop and installed a fresh copy of 2 operation systems(both windows vista and windows 7). To my surprise, i found that this problem doesn't occur in my windows vista but the problem still exist in the newly installed Windows 7. This is really driving me crazy coz the problem seems to be really weird for me to figure out ...Any help?? | My System Specs |

Fill in your hardware specs and uninstall McCrappee. Use Microsoft Security Essentials - free, unobtrusive, and unlikely to block your downloads. Can you also post a screenshot of your installed apps? I don't know what the problem is, I can only say that I'm not having the problem, and I only have 1/3 your bandwidth. I can only think of four things to try...a different AV, firewall, don't use a download accelerator and try using Opera as the browser. You could just disable the first two items long enough to see what the effect was, before changing them permanently. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number DIY OS W7x64 Pro, SuSe 12.1/** W7 x64 Pro, XP MCE CPU Phenom II 1090T w/Noctua NH-D14 /**4400+ X2 w/CM Hyper TX 3 Motherboard ASRock 890FX Deluxe 4/**A8N-SLI Memory 2 x 2GB Patriot PGS34g1600LLKA/**4x1GB Corsair VS Graphics Card EVGA GTX460 SC/**EVGA 8800GTS Sound Card Asus Xonar D2X/**Xonar D1 Monitor(s) Displays Acer X233H, Dell E152FPc /**LG M237-WD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 & 1024x768/**1980x1080 Keyboard Logitech Media USB/**Saitek Eclipse Mouse Cordless Trackman Wheel/**Ditto PSU CM RS600 w/ APC BX1000G/**Antec 500 TP w/ APC BX1000 Case HAF922/**Antec 1040IIB Cooling 3x200mm, 1x140 and 1x120mm/**5x80mm fans Hard Drives WDC 2TB, 1.5TB, 1TB, 500GB,Seagate 500GB , Maxtor 80GB /**500GB Seagate & WDC 1TB Black Internet Speed 3.3Mbps Other Info SB 560 5.1 w/ Sennheiser RS140/**Creative T20 speakers, Dvico FusionHDTV7 Gold RT, Cisco E3000, HP 5510V AIO, Linksys E3000, Belkin F5U237 hub and **F5D8055 adapter

Uninstall the codec pack and use Media Player Classic - Home cinema. Get either x86 or x64 depending on your system. Run a full system scan with Malwarebytes in safe mode after updating. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Sony Vaio Z46GDU OS Windows 7 Ultimate x86-64 CPU P9700@2.8GHz 1066MHz FSB Motherboard Sony branded Memory 6GB DDR3 1066MHz Graphics Card 9300M GS 256MB Dedicated (Speed) + Intel4500MHD (Stamina) Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays 13.1' WXGA Screen Resolution 1600x900 Hard Drives 320GB 7200RPM w/ 16MB cache Internet Speed 1MB/s |

Flash won't work anymore So I just got this new computer, running Windows 7 Home Premium. Everything was working fine at first, but then it automatically updated some things. Now, Flash doesn't work online anymore, in any browser. The content starts to load, then the browser freezes, and I have to force quit it.
I have the most recent version of Flash Player, and I can still play .swf files I make myself, so I don't know what to do anymore.
In a possibly related problem, .avi and other video files on my hard drive no longer play, nor do music files. | My System Specs | | |

Thanks everyone for suggestions. Finally, got the solution. The problem is at the hardware level. I replaced my Netgear wireless router with Linksys Cisco router and now it works fine. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dell OS Windows 7 Pro CPU Core 2 Duo Memory 3GB Internet Speed 10 Mbps Download & video playback stops in the middle problems?
