    Heck I don't care about XP, this is a Windows 7 forum. If you would have followed my lead in my first post your problem would now be solved. :)

    Dmz is off (also ran the setup again, first, lost connection with all computers) then ran it again, didn't change anything for the computer with the rror

    also, as sad, i cannot get a new router during the hollidays (and after the hollidays, i'm kinda busy with school, getting a test week soon) i will get one after that week, but i need the computer for now (and ill check if it is windows 7 compatible)

    it's still giving network cable unplugged error.....

    not the only one that's lost then
    going to reinstall windows xp again (i changed too many configurations)
    i think it is some configuration in the router that stops me from using the Internet, since i can connect directly trough the modem.
