here's your options ; update the Linksys router's firmware if there is one, assuming you correctly configured the router where only you and your sister use the connection (maybe she's downloading something at the same time you were running speedtest?).
If there is an update to your router, remember it will clear all settings and you will have to configure the settings again.
I checked a few times and there's no update for the Linksys router. My sister was on facebook. and now im fiddling around with my broadcom adapter :X.
Question: what is 802.11n preamble and which setting should i use. Mixed or Greenfield mode?
there is an update trust me but assuming you bought this router recently im sure it has the latest firmware (most of the time).
The answer to your ? is choose Mixed, not Greenfield mode.

I looked in Device Manager and don't see a wireless network adapter but under Network Infrastructue Devices I see "Microsoft Wireless Router Module". Are these the same thing? Thanks for help!
My rig uses a Centrino Advanced-N 6230 wireless mini half-card. It reports the correct name except within the wireless network list. Instead of 6230 it reports 6320. I searched the registry to see if I could find the error, but nothing found. It's only a nuisance, and a minor one at that. ...
