Intermittent loss of internet
Hi all
I've been having some issues with losing internet access at random times throughout the day.Basically I'll be browsing as normal and either my Firefox will just abruptly stop, won't even let me reload a page or rarely show the "loss of connection" page.
I had this same issue when I was running Vista..So I've gone all the routes to try to fix this while using that Os...new wired modem, disabled ip6,Flushed the tcp etc etc.
I know for a fact it has nothing to do with my dsl The most answers I can get out of all the "experts" iit was some kind of Vista problem......So Since I'm now running Windows 7 Home I thought it would have been fixed if it was just a vista issue.
Step by step of the issue:
Firefox abruptly stops as well as IE,Chrome
The internet icon on the taskbar has no errors and says I am connected.
Applications on my desktop such as instant messengers (AIM) will continue to access the internet.
I click to troubleshoot my internet and says all is working fine.
Disabling firewall doesn't work
IP6 is disabled as well as power management for the adapter.
Turning off the modem and then back on won't fix the issue
Only thing that works is a full restart.
Anyone have any ideas what could be up..Any advice would be greatly appreciated
thanks
