I'm on a wireless adapter. My broadband router is in the living room. I made some changes to my TCP yesterday. Not experiencing any problems, but wondering if I should reset the settings and have them go back to what they originally were. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number eMachines ET1831 OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit CPU Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 420 @ 1.60GHz Motherboard eMachines EMCP73VT-PM Memory 3072MB RAM Graphics Card NVIDIA GeForce 7050 / NVIDIA nForce 620i Sound Card Realtek High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays eMachines E182H Screen Resolution 1366 x 768 (32 bit) (60Hz) Keyboard Standard PS/2 Keyboard Mouse Microsoft PS/2 Mouse PSU Not sure Case Not sure Cooling Not sure Hard Drives Hitachi HDT721032SLA SCSI Disk Device,

Were the changes made on the router or on your machine? either way, i would think if you know your ISP doman name, you can try and append this as your DNS suffix. Some companies might not use their public domain name as their DNS. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo ThinkPad T60 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit CPU GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) DuoCore T2400 @ 1.83GHz Motherboard Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Memory 2.00 GB Graphics Card Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays ThinkPad Display Screen Resolution 1400x1050 Keyboard Standard Keyboard Mouse HID-compliant Mouse Hard Drives 100Gb SATA Internet Speed Cable Broadband - 54Mbps Other Info Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection

I made the changes on my computer (with the wireless adapter). I think I'm gonna reset the settings back, to assure myself that I'm not gonna have any problems later on haha. That' good that you test things on your machine, your router might not be as forgiving i wouldn't think . See how you go with reverting back the changes on your adapter. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo ThinkPad T60 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit CPU GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) DuoCore T2400 @ 1.83GHz Motherboard Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Memory 2.00 GB Graphics Card Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays ThinkPad Display Screen Resolution 1400x1050 Keyboard Standard Keyboard Mouse HID-compliant Mouse Hard Drives 100Gb SATA Internet Speed Cable Broadband - 54Mbps Other Info Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection
