Acer Aspire 1800WSMi NO wirless detection

I would appreciate any advice available. I have just upgraded to windows 7 Ultimate from Win XP.

However Windows 7 will not detect my Home wireless system. I do however note that on checking for new drivers on the Acer Support site, Vista and Windows 7 check boxes have a X in them ............. does this really mean I cannot use wireless connections with Win 7. This seems a retrograde step .

    Help Please.

Try installing the drivers in xp compatibility mode... also remember that driver development is not microsofts responsibility .. it is the vendors... good luck!

Which model router are you using? Model number and version number would be helpful. :)

Sorry to be vague Chev 65, but all the info I can find is on my PC's invoice which says it has : "Belkin ADSL Modem with Built in 802.11g Wireless router" Somehow I suspect you need more than that, but I dont know how to get more info, even searching the web.
