    Remote Desktop and AERO

I have used RDC to connect to my university account (Server 2008) and Aero works just fine through there, but when I try to connect to my computer (from my brother's laptop, which is running 7), it disables AERO. I have all the settings enabled. Is there any way around this or does it always, automatically disable AERO?

    Any help would be appreciated!

What are the specs for your brother's laptop? How much video memory does it have? What version of W7 does he have?

Can you brother's laptop connect to the University and get the Aero interface?

Guess I forgot to try that (his to my Univ). I would think his would be enough as it's only a little slower than mine (2.2GHz, 3GB RAM, not sure graphics but I think his lowest WEI is 5) and he's running Home Prem 64bit. I tried this (first) over the internet, then thinking maybe it wasn't fast enough tried just through my router.

I also noticed the RDP Client must have video support set to 32bit as well as Desktop Composition enabled in RDP (Experience tab).
