Usage Meter For Uploads And Downloads ?

    Hello,

Just got a surprise call from Comcast telling me that I am running
around 900 GB/month of uploads & Downloads. Their limit for home usage is 250.

Guess there's no real surprise, as my kid just loves downloading movies, music, MP3, etc all night. Also, I guess he's obligated to upload some stuff too.

Surprisingly, Comcast has no usage meter that one can use to monitor all of this stuff. They say they are working on one.

I did a Google on these kind of usage meters, and apparently there are many.

Not particularly interested in all the pretty usage graphs they seem to have.

What I really want is one that is simple, accurate, free (or inexpensive) that shows the running upload AND download usage for the month as a number.

And, I guess that I could reset the first of every month.

Not sure what else it should show, or what I really need.

Really don't want to go over, or even near the limit, and run the risk of their terminating my service.

Suggestions and any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Bob
