    W7 - RDP remote enabling

    Hi all,

I have question relating to networking - for a few minutes ago I installed W7Pro (in domain), but I forgot turn on RDP.

Can I remotely enable this feature? Office is already closed, but I still have LAN-access. Through network-register I cannot join.

    Thx for advice.

    Robajz.

Hi robajz, i'm afraid for RDP session to be successful, it must be enabled/allowed on the machine you are RDP-ing to. That said, you can still map to it if you can get on the vlan.

    Hi aem,

thanks for reply. I found required solution:

    - download Service Manager by Martin Fuchs
    - remotely turn on "remote registry" service
    - then start regedit -> join network registry -> enable remote desktop

I think this may help another users.

    Ciao!

The registry is where you change most things, if you can get to it remotely. How does it do if you need VPN access into work?

    Solved it is.
