Remote Desktop Connection - notify when disconnected

I'm using Windows Desktop Connection to connect to a PC at my office from home. When I'm not connected, the PC at my office is free to be used by others. The trouble is, they have no way of knowing when I've disconnected. Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks for the tip Ultraelf, but once the remote computer has connected, the user at the host end can only see their log-in screen, not their desktop. If there was an option to allow the host computer's desktop to remain visible during a remote session that would be great, but I've not been able to find such an option. Does such an option exist in Windows Remote Desktop Connection?

(If possible, I'd prefer to stay with RDC rather than using TeamViewer, UltraVNC, etc).

When you RDP to a machine the host machine will be screen locked. Here is a work-around i think, have not tried it though.

Login with RDP, without bumping current session.
