I got it to work by doing the following:

Download the launch manager installer zip and extract it.
Select the setup.exe properties, set it to XP compatibility mode and run as administrator.
    Run the installer.
    Reboot.
In C:\program files(x86)\Launch Manager\ find fn.exe and also set it to XP compatibility mode and run as administrator.
Run it, allow it set the wireless device boot status to always on.
    Close and reboot.

If you have UAC running, say yes when appropriate too.

    That worked for me.

Click start orb, type msconfig then under startup tab tick Acer Launch Manager. HTH.

    Lauch Manager is ticked

I have been into msconfig and I do see that the LM is ticked, but the problem as I see it is that I'm not able to install LM from the downloaded driver from ACER since it is not WIN7 compatible and I never get the possibility to run setup.exe in XP mode. When i select properties I do not get the chose to set it in xp mode.

    Have someone any idea?

    Hi mafa,
This thread is very old and already solved, if you start a new thread more people will see and come up with a solution.

Solution to this problem NOT involving strange fixes

I've had the same problem as you on a 3G Aspire One.

The solution, after a ridiculous amount of time spent, is:

Install ePower from Acer. (maybe reinstalling Launch Manager, I'm uncertain)

I checked the original version when shipped and installed that from a download.

As far as I can detect, it installs a DLL containing a system hook funktion for Fn+F2.

    Best regards,
    Lars

The fastest sollution to fix this issue

The fastest sollution to this issue is to download the latest version of Launc Manager from another Aspire model (i pickup Aspire 5040) the version: LaunchManager Dritek Acer LaunchManager Application 1.0.9.4 /// and the button is working also without any msconfig or any other sheet. :)
