i own a acer 5313 notebook i thought i would have to get empowering technology and launch manager to work but when i was installing windows found my network and wireless drives for me and it worked.

its strange it does not work for you though

what is the name of the wireless drivers? mine are broadcom.

have you tried turning on the wireless? there should be a button or switch on the out side on the top near the speakers or near the audio jack when its on there a orange light will appear and flash.

    hope this helps.

Amazing to say the least. W7 has a builtin wirelessutility that dwarfs any previous ones. Virtually no setup required, just have driver for your adapter installed and wifi switch ON and you'll get connected in no time. Unless you have a USB modem type adapter which may require a thrid party software to run, which i doubt your Acer has.

All that you say is corect, but problem is in the "switch" couse it's turned on by the Launch Manager. So if this Launch Manager is not working in Windows 7 my wireless is not working to... In the Device Manager is all installed, drivers are ok and everything is ready to go :), now the problem is only in "Launch Manager"...

But, if anyone know how to bypass the Launch Manager, and how to turn wireless on without it, I will be very happy...

Is there no wifi switch that you can manually turn on and off? That and also in the BIOS you need to have wireless turned on or enabled. Is your wireless adapter shown in Device Manager?
