RDP how to reboot remote computer - little tip

    Hi all
not sure if it is commonly known but there is a simple way to re-boot a remote computer when logged on to RDP.

CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work of course - bit if you press CTRL-ALT-END in the remote session you get the full re-start menu.

It's not obvious but sometimes when you need to re-boot the remote computer it gets frustrating when you find CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work.

    Cheers

    Doesnt work for me

    Guys,

If I RDP to a system older than Windows 7 OS, the CTRL-ALT-END works on the RDP log in screen to bring up the Windows Security window to reboot. But it doesn't work for Windows 7 system!!!!!

I have a Windows 7 Ultimate system that I need to restart remotely from the RDP login screen but I just can't.

I tried everything I found online, shutdown commands, ctrl-alt-end and everything else I could find, nothing helps.

    Any ideas???

You can open up the Task Manager and restart it from there. That's what I normally do, even on XP systems because it's just 2 mouse clicks to open up the Task Manager.
