lan card problem

    lan card problem


    i have an acer aspire t180 i am running windows 7 64 bit.
    i contacted acer for an updated driver for my lan card, and was told there wasn,t one as machine is old.
    can anyone tell me if i can change the lan card for a new one that will work.
    the problem at the moment is my internet keeps dropping have already contacted i.s.p told it was a driver issue.
    the lan card i have is a marvell yukon 88e8056 pci-e.
    please help if you can.

    Welcome to Seven Forums Zebdog.

    I see a driver for Vista x64 here: Marvell: Support. You should be able to install that in Compat mode to work in 7. Compatibility Mode.

    i downloaded the driver ,,but i still have the problem.
    it is only happening sometimes and on opening the network center it shows a yellow triangle between pc and network symbols. when i double click the yellow triangle it diagnoses that the ip address is missing and then resolves the problem and then i am back on the internet.
