Networking between Windows 2000 Server and Windows 7

    Yep. I have to use the IP address of the computer when pinging either one, but, yea, it works.

    Yea, here's what I have set:

    That looks ok. What about the permissions on the W2K Server?

    I have those all set to full control. I have my Administrator account as the main account with a password; could the fact that it's password-ed be the problem?

    Did you use the Network sharing wizard when you create the share on W2K?

    No, all I did was right click on the drives I wanted to share, and told it to share them.

    Can you try a folder inside the drive, and hopefully see what i meant. If wizard will runs through (as though it compiles) setup a network share.

    I think XP is different to W2K??

    As you select to sahre the folder, putting in the share name, what's did you have under Permissions (button), and in the Security tab also?
