Networking Problems: NAS drive not there
I'm running Window 7 64 bit Pro. I've got two NAS drives that were both visible to my Windows 7 network two days ago. Today they're not. I'm using a ZoneAlarm router. I can see and access the C drive on one of my XP computers. I can see the "G" drive (SimpleShare) but it will only open to one of the folders -- not the entire drive. I've tried to map the entire drive as well as other individual folders, but without success. I've used both the name (//SimpleShare/NetFolder) and the IP -- but it defaults to that one folder (which is also a shortcut in my "Favorites").
It can't find the other drive at all. From the XP machine, my Windows 7 machine is not visible.
From Windows 7, running both NAS finder and Netscan doesn't show the drives or the xp machine. I've turned off the 7 firewall during this process. I've also set rules to allow all traffic from and to the 7 machine through the router (which, because I can access the xp "c" drive and the G sub-folder doesn't seem to be the problem).
Also, as noted, when I first set up 7 about 4 weeks ago, everything worked fine. This was sudden and not related to any software or hardware install that I can think of.
I'm not great with the innards of Network stuff.
Any help is greatly appreciated!
