I installed Windows 7 beta 64-bit a few days ago and when wandering around I noticed two IE8 programs. One was 32-bit and one was 64-bit. I learned that the 32-bit version was the default on the taskbar for the 64-bit version of Windows 7 beta. I switched it to the 64-bit and it runs fine, perhaps better than the 32-bit. Definitely faster and I've had zero lockups.
IE 8 x64 works well for me. Faster also. Only reason for keeping the x86 version available is that there is no flash player for x64. Wish adobe would get off their lead filled ?????.

ye, no flash player for x64 makes me use x86 version as well. sigh
here is from adobe. With few minor updates that article is up for hm i think around 2 years... But something positive, i think they actualy managed to make 64bit flash player for 64bit linux with version 10. GJ i guess on supporting OS that maybe 1% of population use?
EDIT: actualy its even less according to this, total linux market share is 0.84% so 64bit linux is probably what? 0.3%?
This is why Im hoping Microsoft Silverlight will become popular because MS are more forward thinking.

Yes microsoft is more forward thinking where the OS and direction it is taking is concerned however,
If Silverlight or other technologies become more popular places like Adobe will just try to sue MS for "Monopolizing the market".
Personally I think it is Bull but look at what MS has gone through over IE due to other companies whining about "Monopolizing the market".
BTW Before someone says it; I dont use IE.
MS have had that before, it wont stop them and theyl win.
