We have a fairly outdated W2k3 server running sql server express 2005 with a Computa SIMS.net database on it. One of the departments uses a large spec workstation as a server for building management and security servers as well as accessing the SIMS and FMS modules on our server.
Every other computer on the network can connect and communicate with the shared drive with the SIMS files and installation without any problems yet when the Windows 7 machine tries to connect there is a massive delay in communications as if the server is always busy. Is this a problem with older versions and networking or something that can be solved? Or, both.
Felt I should point out that there are other win2k3 servers on the network which we have no problem accessing. The problem one is running on 32bit, the others are on 64bit. The windows 7 installation is 64bit as well.
