    Delayed network connection issue

This is more of an annoyance/concern, but 'most times' when I boot my machine, or restart, the "Network - Internet Access" icon in the taskbar has a blue circle over it (too small to see if it is spinning) that lasts almost exactly 60 seconds, then a yellow triangle appears for a second or 2, then, sometimes, a red x for a second, then it goes to normal. It does not do this coming out of Sleep. Every so often it does not do it at all. I have internet access throughout this process. My IPCONFIG and NETSTAT readings all look normal. I have 3 desktops, 1 laptop, and 2 "other devices" on my LAN. Rarely are they all on at once. I have no network or internet connection problems, just this new, odd behavior.

My W7 64 bit install is about 40 days old. This behavior occurred recently - in the last week. I may not have noticed it prior, but I first noticed it happening just after I installed an Epson Artisan 810 printer that has a wireless feature. I installed it via USB cable using the correct USB driver for W7-64b downloaded from Epson's website. The printer is set up and works and is being used wirelessly on 2 other computers. The odd network behavior was happening before I set up the other 2 wireless connections.

I don't know how to "see" what is going on while this is happening. Opening Network and Sharing reports no errors. In the Windows Event Viewer I do have these Errors and Warnings (the ones that I think are applicable):

Error: Event ID 2 - Kernel Event Tracing
Session "homegroup Log" failed to start - 0xC0000035

Error: Event ID 1002 - DHCP Client
The IP address 192.168.1.101 for the network card with the address 0x.... has been denied by the DHCP server 192.168.1.1 (The DHCP server sent a DHCPNACK message).

Error: Event ID 7022 - Service Control Manager
    WIA service hung on starting

Error: (I have your typical Master Browser war going on).

Warning: Event ID 1014 - DNS Client Events / System
Name resolution for the name ISATAP.HSD1.MA.Comcast.net timed out after none of the configured servers responded.
(The name is my ISP and/or modem)

So what do you think is going on? Please let me know if more info is needed.
    Thanks

Also: I have reset my modem and router.

I take it, while I listen to the crickets, that this is either a dumb question or a strange/difficult one.

    Bump
Just today, whilst doing other things, I noticed that in Windows Explorer there are "magnifying glasses" rotating around "Computer" and "Network" at the same time that the above mentioned behavior is happening (Still happening). When the "Network - Internet Access" icon clears the "mag glasses" clear at the same time.

I'm suspecting this is some kind of name resolution issue. Has anyone else every seen this behavior?

My icon has blue ring also sometimes , if i go to device manager and disable net adapter and turn it back on the blue ring is gone. If u get a red ring go to network and sharing page and play with the settings in change advanced sharing settings
