This should be a last ditch attempt providing your ethernet conection is working (tries to connect but returns "invalid Ip")
Caution with registry modifications!
Disconnect your system from the net, and then run REGEDIT
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip\Parameters\Inter faces
the JPG attachment shows the Paramater\Interfaces (specifically on mine, yours will be different)
EXPLORE each one of them, delete the ip info and replace with 0 info.
- DhcpDefaultGateway
- DhcpIpAddress
- DhcpNameServer
- DhcpServer
Then modify these resetting them to zero also
- Lease
- LeaseObtainTime
- LeaseTerminatesTime
set EnableDHCP=1 & EnableDeadGWDetect=0
reboot the system and after the disk quiets down, plug-in the ethernet cable.
