Varying on your Network Adapter/
Driver, you may have to allow your TCP/IP & DNS to set automatically, rather than manually. If anything, the easiest way to check for issues is to right click on your "Network" Icon in your System Tray, and click "Troubleshoot Problems".
Manual Steps:
- Rick Click the Network Icon in your System Tray.
- Left Click "Open Network and Sharing Center".
- In the Left window pane, click "Change Adapter Settings".
- Right Click "Local Area Connection"
- Left Click on "Properties" (and Allow the UAC)
- Click on "Internet Protocol Version 6".
- Click the "Properties" button.
- Make sure the "Obtain {yada-yada} automatically" radio-box is selected on both the IP and the DNS.
- Click OK.
- Do the same for "Internet Protocol Version 4".
- Restart your Computer
If the Issue still exists after these steps, verify that your Router or Modem is compatible with Windows 7.
Not all routers will work correctly with a Windows 7 based System.
Hope all is well.
