I can name it to what ever I want that way. I'm not sure why it won't work for you but it works for me.

You may need to go into Device Manager and delate any extra connections by enabling the "show hidden devices" button.

I can't cause before reaching number 21, windows 7 created 1, 2,3...20 and they are hidden, so i need a way to see them and delete them.

That is what the "Show Hidden Devices" tab is for. That should let you see them all. Click "View" then click Show Hidden Devices with the network adaptors tab open and they should all be there.

    Just do this. Easy enough?
you're almost there man, i've already tried that before windows says it can't rename it cause already exists....you know 1, 2, 3, 4 now im in number 21... how do i delete the old ones (from 1 to 20)?
The registry is a good place to do this. You got a few entries in the location, what are they?

All this was easy on Windows XP, in 7 is hidden.

Chev i've already done what you said i could delete two (repeated) devices but that didn't change anything.

AEM nothing to change there apparently:

It's not hidden at all. I can change the name of my network any time I want. :)

The method I used works for me everytime, I can't say why it's not working for you.

Network Name and Icon - Change

What under those "4D36..." entries? Expand them and you should see each is referring to different connection types.
