Error accessing NAS shares

    I don't know if this is W7 or the NAS, but it seems to me like a setting on the NAS. Do you have another machine to test the connection?

    The problems started on this laptop when I upgraded from Windows 7 to XP. Another laptop with WinXP still works.

    unexextep network error whne acccessing SMB share with windows 7


    Hello,

    when I try to access an SMB share on a NAS or any Samba based system with a Windows 7 PC wich is member of a domain, I get an "Unexpexted network error". In my cas, the problem was comming from the security policies defined in our domain. The faulty policies was "Microsoft network client: Digitally sign communications (always)” which was enabled. After disabling this policy (located in Computer Configuration/Policies/Windows Settings/Security Settings/Local Policies/Security Options) the access to SMB share works perfectly.
