Slow wireless internet speed
hi everyone. There seems to be a lot of problems with slow wireless speed on Windows 7. I've searched different threads for hints and tried some of them, but my wireless is still slow. So I hope somebody can help me.
on my new windows 7 laptop, upload and download spead is very slow when connected wireless. Download speed measures at 1 Mbps on www.speedtest.net, while two other computers (XP and Vista) achieve download speeds of 6 Mbps on the same wireless network.
Over LAN my download is normal at 6 Mbps.
Intel 82567LF Gigabit Network Connection (Driver version: 10.1.6.0)
Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN (Driver version: 188.8.131.52)
Wireless-g Access point connected to broadband modem
Thus, to access the internet, I need to connect twice, first to the access point and then to the broadband modem. This setup works on the other two computers in the house. The lenovo however does not seem to recognise that I'm online, even when I am. The 'not connected' symbol is always displayed in the toolbar, and diagnostic tests tell me I am not online. This maybe relate to the problem.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
