Remote Desktop probs...

ok i have windows 7 home premium running on an HP laptop, and Vista home premium running on a dell desktop. I keep trying to run the remote desktop connection to setup the laptop to remotely log on to my desktop when i am out of tow working, but it wont connect. i have the laptop with Windows 7 hp set to auto detect RD server gateway, and the desktop with vista hp to auto detect TS server gateway??? Can someone give me a step by step method to complete this task???

Welcome!

Unfortunately, the home versions do not support being an RD host. They can only connect to a machine running Professional or higher.

There is good news, however! There are free programs you can use instead. Try Teamviewer.
