Printing to a printer on an XP system

    Greetings.
I have a DesignJet 450c printer/plotter networked via a netgear printserver. There are no Windows 7 drivers for this printer. Is there a way to use one of my XP systems as a server for this printer? Usually I copy my file from the Win 7 system to the XP system and print from there. Is there a better way?

I can print from XP mode on my Windows 7 (64bit) system.

    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome Paul
If the Vista driver does not work. Go to the priner website. Save the driver to your documents folder and then right click on it and install in compatiblity mode.

    No Vista driver

Unfortunatly the vista driver for this family no longer includes the model I have, the 450c, so that wont work. I can use the driver for a similar printer in Vista mode but it wont print in color.
The driver for XP from the vendor only unpacks the files which only includes an OEM setup file and a bunch of HP_ and DL_ files. I cant seem to find a place where compatability mode is allowed.
Using the OEM setup file yields an error and does not provide a compatability mode option.
