How do I share files from a Windows 7 to a Windows XP

I would like to share files from my external HDD on my Windows 7 PC to my Windows XP PC. They are both connected to the same DSL network. On the W7 PC, it is using a direct ethernet cable while the XP PC is using a wireless card.

A step by step tutorial link would be great

Have you enabled sharing of your external HD ?

Go to Windows Explorer and share the root of your USB drive, like you would share any other folder.
